The only saving grace for AM2 is that it provides config option to skip this whole horrendously designed mess and unlock all of the entries from the get-go.ĭo options? Write the short and serious version first, and then expand using it.

The way it 'unlocks" entries is pure, undistilled bullshit - firstly, because you can progress through the mod without touching the book at all (unlike Thaumcraft), and secondly, because you HAVE to progres through the mod without touching the book - the entries each "stage" uncovers are insufficient to reach the next one. Thaumonomicon is a good example of this - it provides immersive fiction, but it can be easily ignored and/or not noticed, because actual content is easily accessible.Īlso, any guide which has staged information but not staged progress is immediate negative point for the mod. Seriously Way, gimme the abridged version that drops the entire "hurr durr diary of blud magik read through war and peace's worth of low quality fiction to glean mod's mechanics and things" shtick.īasically, make sure that the player can get the required info without having to crawl through paragraphs upon paragraphs of useless trivia or fiction. Examples of flooded ones: Sanguine Scientem (Blood Magic's guide) and any books for its addons too. Examples of non-flooded ones: Lexica Botania, Thaumonomicon, Witchery's in-game books (the latter aren't easy to use, though). One that doesn't flood itself with bullshit, preventing actual info from being easily obtained. I like how its second-person POV has a bit of flavor to it, though how it's not just "you can put a diamond and a gold block on a tool to give it another modifier", for instance, but instead "adding those items makes the tool more malleable". not the greatest from an actual helpfulness standpoint if you don't know all the items by sight, and it's tedious to flip all the way to the end to double-check one little armor modifier. I love Tinkers' Construct, for instance, but the in-game documentation books are. That's less documentation style and more GUI functionality, but I think it's still relevant.Īlso, a table of contents where you can click on the various chapter/section titles to be taken to that part of the book. I also find it immensely convenient how I can hover over items shown in the book and A, see their name, and B, click through to their crafting recipe in the book, although just A is enough for me to be content if there's NEI integration. fixed vending block negative balance when using ender card to collect coins when selling items and player buys with card. The Thaumonomicon is lovely and wonderful, and I agree with Username570 that immersion like in an RPG is a major reason I like it. fixed balance command always showing zero balance for secondary acct. fixed packager negative balance issue when using redstone signal receiver will now purchase 1kRF at a time when level reaches 0. fixed power receiver spending all coins at once when buying power with coins. changed config to allow enable/disable of power base and receiver separately. changed mob drop handler so ender dragon kills always drop coins changed mob coin drop values to linear scale added price to carrot plant to fix issue with village shop selling for -1 fixed power receiver draining all power from world fixed vending blocks showing "" instead of name fixed player breaking power receiver and getting power base back changed trade station so if coins are present in the trade station and a player puts in an ender card, coins are tranferred to the account changed max output of power receiver to 10k RF/t reworked slot order on packager to better suit shift+clicking items in and out Players can now be targeted anywhere as long as they are on the server added ability for packager to send across dimensions.

Tested with a 20MFR/t Mekanism fusion generator changed power transmitter so it can now handle an unlimited amount of incoming power. moved texture change for signs and vending frames so that textures are now changed after placing blocks by right clicking with any type of plank

all recipes will now show in mods like NEI and Craftguide changed itempricer to handle almost any item updates to handle long coin values in machines

changed power transmitter to handle more than 10k rf/t removed enchiridion book since it is outdated and I don't want to take time to update. changed building style for bank and shop changed account variable from int to long. Also, the secondary account no longer exist so any coins in those accounts will be lost. Major changes have been made and all "physical" coins and blocks will be lost if you upgrade.
